Job description Nila is a London-based company transforming eldercare for families worldwide, particularly the diaspora in the US/UK. They are seeking an Engineering team member to build and scale their full-stack platform, from a low-code MVP to a robust, scalable system. This is a high-visibility role with ownership over the codebase and architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a scalable, user-friendly platform for eldercare solutions.
Design and implement a reliable backend and frontend system to support rapid growth.
Collaborate with the tech lead and founding team to define technical requirements and prioritize features.
Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on new features.
Take full responsibility for the codebase, ensuring quality through clean code, testing, and security.

Requirements

4+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience building scalable React component libraries.
Experience with Node.js backends and modern frameworks.
Familiarity with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
