Job description As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable, scalable systems for Kooth's mental health platform. You will have end-to-end ownership of features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Design and build RESTful APIs, React frontends, and/or React Native mobile apps.
Lead by example in development practices like trunk-based development, testing, and CI/CD.
Take ownership of system performance, resilience, and security.
Build and operate backend services and mobile experiences.
Drive features from concept to production.
Improve existing systems through pragmatic solutions.
Collaborate with other teams and mentor colleagues.
Contribute to technical discussions and decisions.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Support onboarding of junior engineers.
Participate in the on-call rota.

Requirements

3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React or React Native.
Experience with PostgreSQL and web/mobile application development.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Understanding of modern system architecture.
