Job description Polaron, a spin-out from Imperial College London, is building a cloud-based SaaS product that uses AI to help materials engineers. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and contribute to the platform's development.

Responsibilities

Scaling the canvas-based image frontend to handle high-resolution images.
Intelligently autoscaling the GPU cluster.
Building a public-facing API.
Working across the technology stack, including frontend optimization and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
Contributing to a positive company culture.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a product-focused software engineer.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience.
Experience with statically typed programming languages (TypeScript, Rust, Go, Java/Scala).
Product-oriented mindset with experience engaging with customers and defining features.
Comfortable working across the technology stack (React, AWS, Terraform).
Strong technical communication skills.
