Job description Spotlight Sports Group is seeking a mid-level engineer to support the development, testing, and deployment of front-end and back-end components for their affiliate sites. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and independent ownership of code.

Responsibilities

Develop and support front-end and back-end components for affiliate websites.
Analyze user requirements to inform application design.
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Work closely with the Senior Engineer.
Ensure products and projects align with company goals.
Contribute to software quality assurance.

Requirements

Experience working on large-scale website projects.
Excellent understanding of software engineering practices and quality assurance.
Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
Experience Dockerizing WordPress and Next.js.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Notion.
Next.js: Deep understanding of routing, SSR, and data fetching methods (getStaticProps, getServerSideProps).
WordPress: Strong experience as a headless CMS, WP REST API, PHP, custom theme/plugin development.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
