Job description Zero Down Lease is looking for a Lead Backend Developer to take ownership of their backend systems and contribute to product strategy. The role involves scaling the existing MVP into a robust platform and driving technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Refactor and scale the backend systems for performance and reliability.
Architect and build robust APIs for platform integrations.
Implement applied AI/ML solutions for internal tools and workflows.
Ensure system reliability and resilience.
Collaborate with the team to solve technical challenges across the business.
Guide and mentor other developers as the team grows.

Requirements

Strong backend development experience with Python.
Experience with data modeling and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
Proven architecture mindset with experience in migrations and modernizing codebases.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problems.
Comfortable with occasional frontend work (HTML/CSS/JQuery).
Leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in code reviews and mentoring.
Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user experience.
