Job description StrideUp is looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to play a key role in developing and scaling their digital banking platform for Islamic financial services. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical expertise, mentoring skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Write high-quality, well-tested code (~80% of time).
Lead and mentor the engineering team, focusing on code quality, architecture, and testing.
Oversee release processes, production incident response, and support tickets.
Contribute to platform evolution, reducing technical debt and improving infrastructure resilience.
Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and ensure feasibility.
Drive DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability).
Develop and support engineers of varying experience levels.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in full stack software development.
Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
Experience designing system architectures.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, security, authentication, and accessibility.
Experience working across the full stack (UI, backend, infrastructure).
