Job description Join a talented engineering team at Ripjar, developing AI-powered software for governments and organizations to combat financial crime (money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions enforcement). The team focuses on building innovative solutions and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production and success of an AI-powered financial crime solution.
  • Participate in deep investigations of complex performance and functional issues.
  • Work with Level 3 support engineers to learn about technical issues and become a product expert.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams (engineers, product managers, architects, support, UX, QA) to fix issues.
  • Assist internal teams and customers with software challenges.
  • Be mentored by a senior Staff Engineer to gain a deep understanding of the software.

Requirements

  • Experience with Node.js, React, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis (proficiency in at least one programming language).
  • Experience building and maintaining production software, preferably with large-scale data processing systems.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (explaining complex concepts, code reviews, documentation).
  • Ability to work remotely or hybrid from the Cheltenham office.
