Job description Build a cross-platform mobile application using React Native to extend an existing WordPress system and connect to a lightweight backend. The app will present content in a read-only manner and support a new user role.

Responsibilities

Lead effort estimation, scope, and timeline.
Collaborate with a business analyst to define requirements.
Design and develop the mobile application using React Native.
Integrate the app with the existing WordPress system via API.
Connect the app to a custom auxiliary backend.
Ensure a smooth, performant, and user-friendly experience.
Optionally lead a small development team.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in mobile development.
Strong experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Proven experience delivering cross-platform mobile apps.
Familiarity with RESTful API integration.
Understanding of native mobile capabilities (push notifications, offline support).
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

Experience with WordPress REST API.
Familiarity with lightweight backends (Firebase, Node.js).
Experience in leading/mentoring developers.
