Job description The CRM Application Engineer will be the technical owner of the Salesforce platform, responsible for its architecture, integrations, and overall health. The role requires leading design decisions, managing security, and collaborating with various development teams to deliver a unified customer view.
Responsibilities
- Shaping and evolving the Salesforce CRM architecture.
- Leading design decisions for data models, integrations, workflows, and user interfaces.
- Ensuring the relevance, performance, and reliability of the Salesforce CRM ecosystem.
- Managing interfaces with secondary CRM systems and internal tools.
- Working with web developers, BI developers, and system integration specialists to deliver a Single View of the Customer.
- Contributing to enterprise architecture decisions for data alignment, security, and transparency.
- Integrating Salesforce with external CRMs, middleware, and data platforms using APIs.
- Translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL).
- Strong background in architecting scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Strong knowledge of platform limits, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and security best practices.
- Proven experience leading system-wide initiatives (data model refactoring, Salesforce implementations).
- Experience designing and building Salesforce Flow.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (SFDX, GitHub, CI/CD).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Administrator, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, Application/System Architect, or Marketing Cloud).
